Jamie,

firstly, nice car, looks the goods.

Now wanking part is over, lets get to the real details....

# What engine, from what car?
# What components used in turbo conversion?
# What engine management?
# What boost control?
# Who built it, and do you have their email addy?
# When will it be visiting Witzl's Performance Garage and Consultants?
# Do you have plans beyond the front mount?
# Can we turn it into a 4WD?

p.s. if you didnt ask the owner 80% of the above questions, that means you are gay.

My celica will still be faster :P

to turn one of these cars into awd is a LOT of work... you would really only do it because a) you were bored / B) you have a lot of money to waste or c) you really really badly want to be unique(ish)...

its been done before, but from memory they use the quite a few parts off the gtir... from memory (i could be wrong on this) they used the chassis (or part of it) and just used panels off the pulsar...

Ok here goes mr witzl

# What engine, from what car? U12 Bluebird, SR20DET
# What components used in turbo conversion? None... all stock
# What engine management? Standard i swear to god bro!!!
# What boost control? Some dodgy screw thing... dealing with dave 2 get an EBC
# Who built it, and do you have their email addy? i have business cards (which my car features on) of the workshop who did all the work.
# When will it be visiting Witzl's Performance Garage and Consultants? Depends what can u offer me :)
# Do you have plans beyond the front mount? Umm after that either a GT25 or GT28 or T28bb if im poor! I want a cannon aswell but this straight through one i have looks alrite for the moment. if i go 2 nuts ill start breaking boxes :(
# Can we turn it into a 4WD? Im sure we could... just time and money :D

Now the big question.... does witzl approve of the FWD shopping trolley :P

You cant convert it to 4wd. not on that floor pan anyway. You can however, remove the floorpan, substitute in the gtir pan stretch it another 30cm to make it long enough to meet the n15 hatch....

you like second gear? daam, 3rd is the one i find the best, 1st and second just spin soon as it hits 10 psi :D
3rd you can at least hold it flat at 15 psi :)

to all the clowns that crap on bout older engines etc etc, the sr was made in this car, which means he can fit any sr from prev models if he so desires ;) how else do i have a gtir in a 2000 sss ;)

nice work mate :) look after it.

Twincam 16 i think Mooro has a point here. I also think you could have been a little nicer about how you responded. As far as i was aware if a motor was built to older emission standards to when your car was manufactured and or complied then you will have problems and it will be illegal. Unless you can prove it passes emmisions.

Nice car by the way pyro. Love the N15's. A mate has a sr20de one and that goes pretty hard. Beat a huge feild of v8's and turboed silvias etc on a motorkhana day once. Mind you the rotary ran 11's and handled just as well too but stuffed up one course and had to inherit a lap time from a guy out there having fun burning rubber.
PS the SSS was completely stock except for an excellent set of yokohamas on aftermarket 15's.

mate, twincam16 has actually done all the work to his own pulsar, so he is talking from experiance...

if he says that you can legally put a gtir motor in there, then take his word for it because he has been there and done that... :)

Secaboy
I never said that it isn't legal. I never doubted it to be illegal otherwhise the million other people that have done it wouldn't have. I am saying that i can understand Mooro and it is also my understanding that it can be an issue if the engine was from a different car under different emmissions standards. My main point was maybe if twincam didn't agree with mooro than he didn't need to be such an ass about it. This is a conversion i would recommend to anyone that wants more out of their pulsar. I much prefer the look of the n15 5 doors over the n14 GTiR. The only advantage of GTiR is the 4wd but that can be an expensive one because anyone that has done any reading will know that these things munch gearboxes and clutches better than most cars out there this side of WRX's and GTR skylines.

Wow what a clean car! Nice buy.

Hows the wheelspin and throttle responce with the TMIC?

Also how much did you pick it up for?

As you probably know take it easy on that gearbox, 3rd gear tends to snap pretty easy.

I'm probably considering one of these after two months and not finding a decent JZA80 non turbs

throttle response is great!! i expect this to decline when i get my FMIC

18k, yeah ive changed my gearbox habbits :) i dont need to snap gears anymore i have alot more torque to play with!

1st and 2nd gear a useless :(
