Well, I have recently come into possession of an AE101 Toyota Corolla Levin GTZ, powered by the 4AGZE engine.

That's the one. I plan to turn it into a fairly formidable street car. Built for 'spirited' runs through the hills mainly, but chiefly for cruising. I have the AE92 being built for stuffing around on the track.

Heh, I wasn't that game.. It seems ok with the 5w-30, no smoke or noise. I will keep an eye on it though.

The next big mod will be the Exedy clutch. It'll be a standard clutch with the pressure plate upgraded to 2200pound of clamping force.
The only difference between the standard and HD Exedy clutches is the clamping force anyway, so I am getting the cheaper option and customising the pressure plate for even greater force than the HD has.

Not a rebuilt motor yet, the rest of the car is first. Once that's up to scratch, I'll get serious with the engine.

Just made some more updates on the site, posted dyno charts etc.

I might actually have some of that spray on tint left from when we did my brothers old EF Falcon. A few light coats of tint, followed by a few coats of clear and a polish, and they can look really good.
Just got to make sure you don't put so much on that it gets onto bogandore territory. Just want enough to deepen the colour a bit.

Sure was, all hand coded. More efficient that way.
My brother is a programmer, so he took care of the style sheets or whatever it's called, I am just creating the main body.

Pipes that go from the front bar and duct cool air straight to the front brake rotors. If you look behind your rotor, you'll see a plate with a little vent in it. As the rotor spins, it sucks air through itself kind of like a turbo. I'll be enlarging the vent and forcing cool air through the rotor.

Bit like cold air induction for my brakes.

More updates.

Got a full guide on fitting a 4AGE throttlebody to the 4AGZE, as well as some info on the AE92 ECU swap (to be finished soon).

Another update!!

Just got the car on the dyno again today at the dyno day.

The car now pulls 104.7kw at the wheels, that's 140Hp! woot. Looks like the AE92 ECU and 4AGE throttle body paid off. An 18kW increase isn't too bad I think.

I also replaced the leaky oil seals on the crank angle sensor (dizzy for non coilpack ignition).
I'm currently working out how to replace the rubber bushes in the shifter linkages with ball bearings, problem is the hole in the linkage is 0.2mm smaller than the bearings... I might have to get the linkages from an AE92, as they are 22mm in diameter exactly, and easy to get bearings for.

I have also lined the underside of the piping for the top mount intercooler with aluminium tape in an effort to minimise heat soak. Probably won't do much, but every bit helps, I guess.

I'm sure there's more I've done, but I can't remember what right now....

Glad to see it's being well kept and used to the full potential.

Orsum stuff dude.

140 HP ? why does that seem so low to me ? arent these motors rated 175 stock ? yea sure u can figure some power loss to the wheels but dam ? U running stock boost correct ?
