Went last year, stayed in one of the houses in the newer parts of Bathurst and watched the race from the grandstand, good fun...didn't get down there until Friday afternoon though...

forget the tv, channel 7 won't show miss nude... without going to commercials every 8 minutes.

i don't have the patience to sit through 7 straight hours of bathurst so i'll watch the start, the end, and some of the middle. go ford!

We usually have a big family BBQ with a lot off bullshit flying around and general jest, its hilarious when a car breaks down, we all start bagging each other.

Stuff like " the only way you can win is to try and stop us by throwing a kangaroo onto the track."

LOL, Skippy got taken out that year.

Thats definately worth watching, I eally enjoy watching them dance the car on the very edge of grip for a whole lap....And seeing who is the bravest tipping into the chase.

lucky bugger. you won't have to put up with neil crompton or 30 seconds of the ford cobra lap before an ad break. or 1 lap of the race down followed by another ad break.

Congrats to Lowndes and Whincup.

Oh and does anyone know.. was there something on the track up the top of the mountain where johnson, richards and skaife lost it?

Yeh i understood the rain and the cold tyres for johnson... but it seemed weird that 2-3 other cars lost it in the same place.... as if their was oil there as well... oh well
