Only one way to find out; rev out gear 1 and see how far you can take it :P I used to have an auto 4ac back in the day, bulletproof. However, save yourself the embarasment and don't 'drag' anyone at the lights.

Maximum powahh at 4800 rpm, mine didnt mind hitting 100 km/h in 3rd, it was quite good for a 4ac

Maximum powahh at 4800 rpm,

the factory says 66kw @ 6000rpm? [thats at the flywheel i believe]
the torque is 140Nw @ 4400Rpm [same also]

i can get mine to 8500rpm but don't go past 8300... ive done a bit to the carby, [well i didn't but a mate of mine did], bocsh fuel pump, cam timing, cat back exhaust and better air induction...

there's a little more power, nothing to brag about tho

They will just do 100 in second at redline or just past (6000rpm), although from my dyno graph your better off shifting at more like 5000 to 5250, after that the power curve is really falling away.
Oh, and dont drag people, 1) Its illegal and 2) You'll loose to everything except the local church bus (and even then you wont win by much) :P

I found I gained noticeable top end when I made my exhaust butterfly stay open permanently. On my car that I drive on my private property that is, where I'm not subject to epa guidelines...

Also I find when it comes to drag racing: if you can get the other drivers attention and then start gesturing wildly towards the back of their car just before the light goes green, then it could give you a chance :thumbup1:

^^ hahahahha

4ac's redline at 11k rpm...then say ur name is takashi, a japanese secret agent working in toyotas underground labratory...filled with sushi... ur not takumi.. he sucks.. takashi on the other hand can make a computer chair spin at 11k rpm if he wishes

on a more serious note, didnt the adm sprinter come with 4ac? my brother was able to get that thing to do fishies somehow.....*suss* somehow.

Yeah they're a straight swap. Looms are the same. Just unplug one and plug in the other :)

i had the same prob on my first car (KE70). Try and grab one from a CSX model from the wreckers, shouldn't cost more than say 30-50 bucks (depending on how much of an arse they are).

thanks for the help guys

btw i wasn't being serious about the whole 'draggin' thing.. i'm just curious about redline just weneva i do feel like giving it a bit of a thrash, but thanks agen. btw just from my driving experience from the past 2 weeks, i think max speeds for my 4ac is around 40 for 1st, 65 for 2nd and 100 for 3rd. any more than that and it sounds like its gonna explode lol..

Mathew u have pm.
