Does anyone besides me not like Lewis Hamilton? Yes, I saw him on top gear and we know he is super quick. Of course if he wasn't he wouldn't be an F1 driver but I just don't like him. Maybe it's because James Allen annoys the s##t out of me and he goes on about Lewis like he is god. Hear him about the fuel loads at the first round of stops at Hungary and how Massa couldn't possibly have the same amount of fuel as Lewis. Mclaren must have stopped Lewis early, (1 lap after Massa), so they could keep their cards close to their chest.

Is it true itv lost the rights for F1 next year and it's going to BBC?

Also thoughts on who is the Stig

I'll agree hamilton isn't my favourite driver but he can drive and there is no denying that. Seems like a spoilt brat.. I'm sure given a few years he may come down off his high horse but we'll just have to see how things go.

as for the stig - my thoughts are that there are multiple stigs for different scenarios.

This adds to my point of Hamilton being a dead set nob. There are more but this will do.

The Stig could be a retired driver. Walter Rohl, i'm looking in your direction. The story of him overtaking Schuey, on the Nordschleife, in a ferrari no less, that grandpa can still drive.
But I do think there is more than one also.

i think the regular stig is just one dude. they have the stig's american cousin/african cousin etc who are diff people but i reckon the regular dude is one guy.

i also dont like hamilton, but i dislike alonso even more. the whole mclaren debacle last yr has definately made him the number 1 asshat of this generation of drivers

I reckon at some point the stig may have been Damon Hill, definitely Nigel Mansell, previously it was confirmed as a british test driver (the black stig) who was killed off. But in other times particularly when the stig is riding/driving obscure vehicles like snow mobiled or rocket propelled minis i would guess the stig is a different person.

Generally though, even if it is not, i would like to think it's mansell cos he is a top bloke.

I don't think it's Mansell because his time is slower than the Stig's around that track.

Stig Blomqvist, Swedish rally driver during the Group B era, won the '84 WRC in the Audi Quattro

lewis hamilton is the biggest arse mutha farker (reasons as per above posts).i hope massa beats him

no doubt he is talented. and u know why everyone is raving on abt vettel winning? no, not because he was 21, but because he did it in a torre rosso, a budgeted team. if lewis can do the same in a budget car and not a mcclaren, i would respect him more.

it doesnt help that hes dating that pussycat doll hoe, so im kicking him here even more.

And did you hear Timo Glock has issued a warning to Hamilton regarding Hammy Squeezing Glock onto the grass.

The German is quoted as saying "I do not know what he was thinking, I was right next to him and he left me no room. Sometimes he drives as though he is completely alone on the track.... The next time I am with him (on the track) I will behave with him in exactly the same way"

I wholeheartedly agree with Timo. Lewis thinks he is playing a PS3 with ghost as rivals.

I won't get started on the incident at Spa between him and Kimi

yeah after watching the race on sunday night i've got an even lower opinion of him

what annoys me more is that the ITV commentators make such a big deal out of him and make excuses for his poor form out there. sure enough his mirrors may have been affected by the spray off the tyres in that case but the situation with webber was exactly the same.. he just gave no room and forced webber to miss the turn.

Regardless of whether or not the spray affected his vision, Hamilton had to expect Glock to appear beside him, as he got the better line out of the corner and could get the power down first. Even the extra speed that the MacLaren has over the Toyota (although the Toyotas seem to like the wet, like the RB/TRs)

I may side with Hamilton on occasion, but I never side with the ITV commentators....although they're better than McConville any day of the week.

Brundle IMO is an excellent commentator who does seem to try to be impartial. But James Allen is a total d***head who is massively biased towards Hammy.
His comments when Hamilton smashed into the back of Kimi's Ferrari in the pit lane removed any last threads of respect I had for his opinions. Unable to say it was Hammy's fault he referred to it as a crash between the two.

Also IMO McConville is alot better than the knob gobbler Rusty.

The fact that 10 use McConville as an "expert commentator" is laughable. He's never driven an open-wheeler in competition faster than a Formula Ford, so how exactly can he comment on Formula 1? They should at least get someone who's driven in F1 (Perkins, Schuppan, Shenken, any of the Brabhams etc), or someone who's had experience in at least Formula 3 or GP2. Hell, I respect Crompton's opinion more than McConville.

Hamilton has said he is the moral champion of this season.

"I've showed I'm more mature this year. I'm focusing on keeping myself in shape and not letting anything distract me. I am not messing around doing stupid things, just keeping myself nice and quiet and doing everything right."

Well this just shows me he lives in a land of pixies and leprechauns. So running people off the track and cutting chicanes as well as running his mouth off all the time is classed as not doing stupid things and keeping himself nice and quiet.

In that respect if he ever lets himself go things will get really interesting!!!!

He is a bit of a wanker, and was driving like a knob at Monza, but I disagree strongly with the penalty he got at Spa. That was just bullshit.

The only reason i am not also totally against his penalty is because apparently the drivers had been instructed not to overtake until after the next corner from where the offense was committed in drivers briefings held previously. The fact that Hamilton overtook coming into the next corner and not after it seemingly justifies the 25 second penalty to the stewards making the decisions.

Still, a tough call and IMO should have been passed off as close, hard racing. Not boring, processional crap like some races can be.

considering the pace he had leading up to the incident it wouldn't have really been an issue if he had waited until the following corner anyway in my opinion so I figure it's a fair call/penalty.

I have seen 3 separate interviews with Hamilton so far at Singapore and he hasn't made me cringe at something he has said yet. I know there is still time before the end of the weekend but I think that is a record for him.
Maybe he might be getting the message to stick to what he knows, driving the McLaren quick. B)
