They are just your average aftermarket indicators. The all come on and stay on when i turn the indicator switch.

You need a flasher unit that isn't load sensitive. Narva make them and they cost about $30 each. They are the red ones you need.

68251BL is the one I have in my car.
If you keep using the indicators without the right flasher it will popthe flasher and wont work at all.

Havent found an electric flasher unit in Adelaide yet.
Though i use 10W10R resistors - Found at jaycar for 1.20 each. And these solves most of my problems . The light now comes up on the dash and both sides of the indicators work seperate from each other now. Still no flash. Going to find a new flasher unit and well see how i go.

If anyone wants to know . i used four resistors, one for each indicator. I just connected one side to negative and the other to positive somewhere near the indicators.

Sprint, Repco, Autobarn etc etc.

Just ask them to order the part number above and they'll help you out.

you can make a simple flasher from parts from your local jaycar for under $10 if your techie minded. circuit is simple. i can upload if needed. bit of a screw around though. Most likely easier to get flashing leads, and remove the glass bulb and internal from the socket, install the led's in series with a resistor. X4 and install.
I did the former with my dt175 when i converted it all to led's had to do a bit of re-looming though to make the bikes design compatible.

Another option would be put a load in parallel with each bank of indicators to earth to "simulate" the filament type's current draw. then some small 1/4watt resistors in series with each globe to drop the voltage and protect the led's, that's if it wasn't included with the led setup you've put in.

Oh, and hello all *waves* My misses has just purchased an 93'across. We have joined this forum in hopes to share(more like pillage) info regarding the bike.

I gave up on the indicators. They still stay on so when i indicate its become habit to just turn on and push in (turn off) repeatedly when changing lanes or turning. Ill be selling the bike soon.
