well currently i am looking for a decently piced lsd

also when i bought my "engine swap" it was missing about 4-500 dollars worth of parts, (map sensor, plug wires, injetors, wrong fuel rail, hacked engine harness, on top of that it was sold to me as an AE101 setup, when later i looked up the part number it was AE92, which is fine but i would have been tearing my hair out when i finally did the wiring and it wasnt starting

heres some more picures of how my 86 started life

yeah i know the USDM bumpers are ugly, but JDM bumpers are so expensive here and honestly i dont feel like shelling out over 1000 dollars for a clean set with brackets and signal lights

right now its just B+G lowering springs, when i hit up japan next year ill probubly grab some wicked setup, also cams and things of that nature that are much less expensive in japan than local

I am always amazed at the amount of rust there is on the overseas older toyotas thanks to the climate. Makes me feel pretty lucky not have to deal with that. Top work!

Thanks!

this is really one of the better AE86's, you should see some of the cars ive dealt with, it would give you the heebie geebies

in the winter salt gets thrown around like its going out of style which is the main cause of killing off our rare yotas

The tercel wasn't too bad, in japan they're badged as a Corsa so maybe it's the same there, unless it never was available period, yeah Iam a bit concerned about the I/C piping but we'll se how it runs when I drive it, I might try and start it tonight

I recommend reading and applying the information in this thread: http://www.twincam.info/index.php?showtopi...view=getnewpost

I would have thought having Al welding available (at home i presume) you could remove the SC outlet pipe and do a cut and shut job on it to remove that horrible 180 degree bend.

Liking it so far as much as im a FWD fag, mainly cause its all DIY

Yeah my buddy sent me the link to that a couple days ago actually... I'm going to do that to soon, I was going to mod the S/C outlet pipe so it comes out straight but I don't have anything to weld it with so I'm gunna leave it be for now, the ABV mod should make up fo that massive bend

Replaced that rusty old wheel bearing and cleaned up everything, Rear axle is ready to be re-assembled, also pulled out the trailing arms and burned the old bushings out, just need to clean them, paint, and install poly bushings

I for some reason cant get those last pictures to work, everytime i try to make a new reply it just adds it to the previous one.... and then the pictures dont show
