Very interesting setup.
The photoshopped picture in your sig is also interesting.
Only costs $100 for a dyno, could be interesting.

I thought the same, ITB's and a afe head hmm hmm considering the valve angle is close to what a 20valve runs.

It would be interesting to see how it would go with an upmarket ecu installed to.

Although the shallower valve angle is now considered to be better for power, everything else about the 4afe is still not designed for fasts. thus I am also interested to hear the specs of this engine to see what has been changed.

Specs please!!

edit; just noticed your post. those runners are indeed very long, generally speaking the longer you go the less power/more torque you make, and the reverse for going shorter. also wtf do you mean by "gassing the head" and the rest of the engine is stock?? this makes me sad :(

Thats what i meant tho the valve angle being similar to the 20V 4ages, meaning that it could breath pretty well at high revs, however the lift would be piss poor,so its pretty much a brick wall.

also wanting to know what the fck gassing the head means*

Isn't it the other way around? Long runners for low-down torque, short runners for high revs? Whole reason behind cars having variable intakes (such as TVIS/ACIS in the case of Toyotas)

In my country (6syl torana country) short length inlet manifolds (between carby and head) are for top end, long runner manifolds are for mid range/bottom end

I didnt even notice the car was in South Africa till someone mentioned it, then I had to go find a picture with number plates to prove to myself he was in SthA not South Australia!

FE + quads, Tossing it up!
Unique to say the least.
More importantly, how do they sound? :)

4age smallport if you want to stay NA, but the boost bug will eventually bite you so you may as well get the gze and have it all there ready for turbs.

but seriously, things can get expensive and where you cheap out on small things like air filters, oils gaskets ect things will 9 times out of 10 f##k up.

so really consider what you want out of the car before you decide what to put into it.

turbo the original engine just put the gze internals ie crank pistons rods and you've already got the itb's with the right tune 300 hp couldbe all yours
you've got a unique engine stick with it and go all the way.buying a 4age ot 4agze then turbo-ing your going to spend the same if not more money ,you've also ported the head for more flow, get some higher lift and longer duration cams and it will all come together good luck dude and be original.

If you go to America there are quad 4afe's everywhere. There are even quad 7afe's making 300hp with the fe head. However you only get that power on fe's if you are willing to pay big prices. The quad intake for the 4afe/7afe sell for around $1000. They are specially made for the fe heads. Then you got to pay extra for the ITB's which are around $800 for a set.
