i need a new windscreen for my ae111 rwc. mechanic said getting one from japan will take 1-2 months and obviously will cost a lot more than finding one locally.

anyone ideas on the best place to source one?

all help appreciated

I'll try to cross reference it to a local model tonight. Do you have the model details from the VIN plate?

The part number for the windshield is 56111-1A730, and is common only to the AE111 Levin/Trueno. That doesn't mean a local windscreen wont fit, as the local AE111 part number is 56111-1A690. It's close, which could mean a difference in tint colour, or a totally different shape.....
You can only find out by pulling one from a wrecker, or getting the windscreen guy out and lining it up...

The front exhaust mount is also used on the AE101 Australian Corollas from 1995 to 1998. It shouldn't be too hard to get. IIRC, I replaced mine not too long ago and the part was in Australia.

Pretty sure i'll have a front exhaust mount layin about... take a pic of what you are after and cover the postage costs and it is yours...

Had a couple of half cuts...

I'm in 2 minds to hold onto the last halfcut shell i have incase someone needs a radiator support or just scrap it...

well my mechanic got the car past roadworthy without a new windscreen, though it will need to be replaced eventually. so the car will be in my name in a few days.

i asked him bout the front exhaust mount and the car needed to be jacked up to locate it. so couldnt get any pics. can someone else help out with the pic. or if anyone has a spare one or just a good resource for ae111 parts in general?

cheers will post my car in members rides soon

Goto Toyota with your part number, give them your $50.50 and get a new one. This rubber bush sits so close to the exhaust that even if you put a reasonable second hand one in, it'll fail soon anyway.

did you everfind out if the lcoal screen with fit??

I'm chasing various front end parts to fix a crashed BZR, so trying to find out what will swap with local cars, and what wont. rad appears to be identical

given that Toyota Australia have stock of headlights, bonnet & guards, I'm guessing they will also fit something local

The AE111 Levin headlights, bonnet & guards are specific to that model. There must be enough demand for those parts for them to justify holding a few.

your best bet would be new zealand, there are a fair few getting wrecked every week on trademe.com.nz
the windscreen will be cheap ~50-100 NZD but the postage is where the cost lies, speaking from experience from purchasing a passenger window for the ae111
