Hi guys and girls.
Im Luke, 18 live in Far North Queensland Australia.
Im looking at a 91' Suzuki GSX250f across on the weekend. What should I be looking for in these particular bikes? Apart from the obvious like bent bars, fork seals, blue smoke etc. My main concern is that this bike has done 43 000 k's. How many k's will a well serviced across do before it needs a rebuild?
The bike passed roadworth approx 6 months ago and hasnt been ridden since
I can buy this particlar bike for about $1300 so obviouly its not going to be perfect but what are the main things I need to look for?
Thanks

apart from the obvious, and bearing in mind im not really mechanically minded
Id make sure theres a bit of meat left on the tyres and the chain and sprockets dont look to bad .... mainly because a new set of both will set u back 4 or 500
41000 on a across is nothing really its only just been run in
well not quite but no reason why u wont get it to go round the clock and then some long as u give it a little loving and the previouse owner did the same

43K is nothing for a 91. First across I had was a 94 and had 33K on the clock, I then put another 90K on to that. That said it was going to need a new drive shaft for the front sprocket when I got rid of it. But I sold it to a dealer for $1200 with 115K on the clock. So 1300 for 91 with 43K seems pretty good to me. (assuming it's been well maintained of course)
