This thread can be used as a guide to what you could be paying for upcoming repairs. I encourage members to post there latest invoices (brief description for an usual repair). Please keep it brief and keep the discussion out of here. Just an easy to read simply copy of the invoice is necessary. I will note down my last repairs soon.

Well i have quotes and some actual's

TIMING BELT: (supply and fit) ive been quoted in between these prices from local mechanics
$300 - $450
with water pump $500

HEAD WORK:
Head porting $250+ to how extensive i want it done..

EXHAUST:
2 1/4 mandrel bent from cat to muffler $380 (no resonator)

BLOCK:
(actual) decking,wash,boring & honing $140

BUSHINGS:
Install complete set of super pro bushing $550 from pedders

BODY WORK:
dent in bonnet and damage on tip of fender,
$400 includes colour match respray etc.

Wheels:
$40-70 for wheel allignment and balance from local tyre places

Mechanical work:
Front Wheel Bearings - supply and fit $310 (last set of wheel bearing i had supply & fit for my last corolla was $301 and that was atleast 4/5 years ago)

Fitting of fuel filter - $50 (i couldnt get the prick off - plus the fuel hard line has been modified at some stage)

Timing belt(qoute) was $300 - $400 (water pump, tensioners, belt, cam and crank seals)

Clutch Master Cylinder rebuild - $80(with overnight turn around)

The rubber seal washers? they came with my vrs kit, i can get a price on them if that's what we're talking about.

For my 20v, I just paid for these parts

$315 for a new stock radiator - Red Devil Radiators, Moss St
$151.20 for a genuine toyota distributor cap - Old Mac Springwood
$29 for the genuine rotor - Old Mac Springwood
$23 for genuine radiator cap - Old Mac Springwood

just also got a quote for genuine water temp sender
$166.40 - Old Mac Springwood

you got ripped off, you can still get from toyota dealers and its cheaper :mellow:

$55 each = camber bolts front and rear


$75 = oil cooler sandwich plate (wicked piece of gear) from midnightmods.com.au (A+++)

$129.00 for a 2000kg trolley jack from Total tools


Much better quality than Supershit or Autorice. for very simlar price





(oh n its fuckin heavy so may make your daily look dumped on its ass if you load it in the boot.

Paid $81 inc postage for a Autometer 2" (close enough to it) pro comp ultralite mechanical oil temp gauge through ebay from the states.


So now nobody should ever buy autometer gauges from autobarn again with this info as every gauge available is on ebay.

Be a good idea to specifically state if thats just to fit, or if its parts supplied and fitted. Some already have, but just to make it easier to udnerstand. Im forever getting my mechanics to fit up parts that i by privately.

wheel alignment = 445 to $70 (depending on size of tyer on car)

oil change = $85 (castrol magnatec 10w40 and ryco oil filter)

Front wheel bearking = $80 (supplyed and fitted)

Midnight express Window Tinit = $300 for the whole car

Complete smallport engine loom - $120

Complete airbox assembly with K and N panel filter (week old) - $50

AE92 nova tail lights - $30

PARTS ONLY PRICE! Labour was done by us.

Prices are in NZ$
New Water pump GMB for 4agze - 69$
Headgasket set ( includes all seals) - 417$ -_-
Headgasket alone - 103$
2nd hand 8:1 ceramic top pistons ( absolutly mint no scratchs or pits) - 150$
Smallport head -50$
4agze block/crank - free from a mate LOL ( mates should give you free blocks coz there awsome)

Total labour cost to get your steering rack fixed it it was to ever fall off your AE92 $796.27 +gst O_O
Wheel bearings 127$ each - For some reason when i picked one of these up it included the 2 bearings that sits in the plastic rings, 2 shoes that sit on either side and a casing it all sat in.. Now when i did my wheel bearing on my AE92 GTZ levin. I only had to put 1 shoe in as the other one was actually part of the brake hub ??? and the casing wasnt needed? Anyone know about this? lol?
brand new Flange customly made up to fit stock headers with a two pipe to cat converter - 232$

Oh yea the gaskets/bearings were from repco ( Rip Every Poor C*** Off )

RDA slotted rotors (vented / not vented etc) - $145 for a pair - New Brakes Ringwood
New alternator fitted for 4age - $300 max - Grimshaw Motors, Greensborough
if just need it, Regulator for alternator fitted - $65 - Grimshaw Motors, Greensborough

$70 for about 200mmx90mm of 90 duro urethane rod for my engine mounts.
