Basically i've just completed my first spell of more "involved" bodywork.

If anyone ever passes a thought about an electric spray gun whilst there out buying stuff, slap yourself in the face.

Did all my prep come time to painting my first door on my hatch, took it off stripped it, cut the guts out of it n reinforced what was left so the window winder still worked properly, sanded it back, washed it, then hit it with the prepsol, then i was ready to paint.
My old man had recently purchased a Wagner electric spray gun to paint at the start of the year, did it okay but i never looked closely at the finished product.
Got it off the shelf, gave it a clean, then ran some thinners through it.
Chucked some paint in it, got the paint flowing on a old rag, then proceeded to paint the door.

Now in some parts yes it came out mint, but acrylic paint is effing easy to paint so anyone could have done those parts.

Conclusion being the paint isn't really "sprayed" out more like pulsed "spitting" that left a bit of a rough finish in places, so ill have to sand them back coz its rough even for a rough job.
Payed i think $69 for a vacuum fed spray gun and it is in all seriousness a fukload better.

so i strongly recommend against airless paint guns

enjoy
