I want to remove the body moldings / side skirts off my AE92

They have no discernible screw holes apart from the wheel arches. I was just gonna use the heat gun and pry them off.

Anyone have tips on how to go about it to minimise paint damage?

Bump - anyone?

Are you all too "hardcore" to admit you've ever mucked about with bodykits? :P

mate it aint hard at all. if you check under the car, under the side skirt you'll see that there is like bolts on the side skirt or spoiler. there is like bolt grooves square in shape, unless yours dont have this then your only solution is to remove the side bolts or screws by the fenders.

As stated previously, remove the bolts holding them on.

Most of the cases, there is sikaflex. Best way to remove them is to use a heat torch or a hair dryer to heat the sikaflex which aids in removal. when you have removed the side skirts, there will be residual sikaflex on the car. grease and wax remover will do the job removing that.
