Ok.

It looks like you really have an issue with people having a view other than your own.

Learn some basic net etiquete, my friend. You don't post Private Messages on the open forums. This conversation serves no constructive purpose and is over.

There is nothing wrong with posting something like that, so get off your high horse for a start off ok.

This conversation has some constructive purpose, as you personally realised that the forum actually was not offered to someone inside, contrary to what you were told.

How is having this conversation an issue?

You appear to be VERY trigger happy on the lock button it appears when you either have run out of things to say / realised you fucked up.

Is this how you go about your ways on other forums?

Just putting it out there so other users can make a call on if this place is still somewhere that they will want to continue to spend time.

I'm not convinced that you care so much about this place, Shane. Prove me wrong.

How is that possible?

And now you have edited my profile title to say "lives with parents"

I asked before how old you are...

He is pissy coz he now can't ban everyone who doesn't agree with him. The only forum he frequents where he had some power has just revoked it.

Keep up the good work Hammer.

Actually as i previously mentioned, i couldnt actually care about being mod / admin.

I know you still have your nickers in a twist over the stuff that happened a few years back, and being as immature as you were back then appears to still be the case now, going by your comments.

I did not do that, Shane. I don't know what you're talking about and assume that's a default setting in the software cause I see many other members with it. Posted Image

I am 36 yrs old.

LOL

Still a zorn. Just a powerless one now.
Go drive your falcon or start a s##t fight on boost.
That seems to be your favourite past time.

This bloke is only trying to help keep the forum afloat and i agree that 90% of the demographic is bitching about it.
you ALL need to harden up a bit.

Absolutely - in fact, maybe I should have explained this before now but didn't think anyone would find it terribly interesting.

I own a network of small car sites (about 200 of them I think?) that make profit when visitors click on Google and eBay ads. I've been doing it for a few years now and it's starting to pay the bills. Part of the whole SEO (Search-Engine Optimization) plan is to have text links pointing to those sites from related sites. In other words, have Toyota sites linking to other Toyota sites. Make sense? You can see an example of it in the footer with the three links there. Having a forum like this with almost 500,000 posts linking on every page to my Toyota sites is a big benefit - especially when it's a car that I personally find interest in. The one eBay ad I put up top pays enough to cover the basic hosting.

Six months from now it'd be nice to have you guys back to normal, adjusted to the new software and things on an even, friendly keel. That's my hope. Posted Image

Justin,

Yes IP bans are easy to get around, as are mac bans, i have plenty of email accounts so there is no point in blocking or banning me again.

I want to let you know that even though you may think i hate the new layout, i don't, my specific problems were only directed at the way you were handling the forum.
I can see now you are beginning to make a wholesome effort to do your best for this place, and that you realize your original attitude has not worked out well in regards to the management of the forum.

All i can say is that i hope your attitude stays as it is now, and will continue to help improve this forum.

And perhaps a few major contributors may return, i am still on the fence though. It is quite hard to make a decision when the forum is for registered users only, again maybe that's something that needs attention as most of the sections were free to browse with the vBullitin system.

??
