hey guys just wondering if there was any gains in using the big port cams on a small port head and Wat degree do u dial in the cams at and i was wondering if there are any other ways of getting horse power outta a 4age 16 valve cheep and easy thanks mutely and help would be great

A small gain may be made as the bigport cams have 240 degrees duration and 7.56 mm of lift.

Versus the smallport of 232 degrees and 7.1mm of lift.

Only do it if you can get them really cheap because as I say the gain is only slight.

And gains can be found with vernier cam gears to dial in the cams. But the only way to make quantifiable adjustments is on a dyno.

Other wise your just guessing. Advancing the cams gives more down low and retarding will make it pull a little more in the top.
