Just thought i'd bookmark a thread for the work i do to my lil ae82.

Guess i'll start at the start;
Bought it of a car yard for $650, no reg or rwy.
Took it down to for the rwy and it came back with a real short list,
most expensive thing needed was the windscreen- $170 fitted,
some other things on the list were a rear seatbelt, some rust in the rear wheel arches and some speakers to cover the holes in the doors plus some interior parts.
All in all it cost me around $1500-1600 to get it on the road all sorted

Was pretty happy with it so was driving round showing it off, unfortunately an hour away from home on the way to my brother's place it shredded a timing belt (tensioner shat itself and locked up wearing through the rear of the belt) but after my brother come and rescued me and a little bit of trouble shooting and forum searching later i figured out the problem and spent a large part of the next day (and another $130 :() sourcing and changing the belt and tensioner.

Since then i haven't done anything to the car but i have a bit of work planned for the engine and intend on upgrading the brakes etc so hopefully you'll all be happy to help when i plague yas with questions :P

Anyhow here's a few pics for ya'll

Fixing that paint is the first thing on the list though as you can see it's like that all over the bonnet and front guard which is f$%ked :)

Tell me what yas think

UPDATE!!
Ok short spiel first...
Bought an 86.
Had a 20v in it.
20v conversion was rushed n shit.
After counting pennies decided it was better to put 16v in 86 and 20v in 82.

So here are some progress pics =D

Started with this-

engine out-

dash and engine loom removed-

loom's current resting place :P

20v loom
16v that came out and 20v to go in- pending parts arrival.

And finally as the car sits at the moment getting ready to prep the engine bay for paint. :)

looks like a whole lot of fun :D

i herd about this in ae86dc's wanted to buy adds. i believe you were looking for parts in converting one of these to rwd. i was curious to see how you go in putting the 20v into the twinky as i will be doing the same conversion (with a bt) once i source quads <_<
any detail on the wiring will be much appreciated.
