Hi my name is Matt and i'm new to twincam.org, although some of you may know me from rollaclub, toymods and TOCAU. I have a KE30 corolla and have had some others in the past but this will be the first of the FWD variety and have lifted this thread from rollaclub. Anyway I joined up here so I can help myself learn all about these little beasts and get to know some of you.

So here is the recent addition to the stable. A 1986 AE82 Twincam that cost me $200.

Basically saved it from the scrapper and the plan is to use it as a club car in events such as hillclimbs and motorkhanas. Car was cheap as it is unregistered and motor is in pieces as it was cooked by the previous owner. All the bits are there but in the boot and interior has been ripped apart as he took out his stereo. Definitely get stuck into it next year when I get back from holidays. Once I have it running i'll strip it out, get club reg and see what it can do/how long it will last on the track!

You're not the first one to say that! Not going to be changing stuff on this car if it doesn't need changing, trying to do it on the cheap.

Thanks for doing that It shouldn't be too bad once it's running. Expect some beefy updates mid January
