possible water in electricals as placed in topic

i just got an 88 novarolla and took it to a car wash and got a total clean and detail as well as an engine cleaning. well on my way home it decided to stop running and when i pulled out the connectors for the spark plugs there was a puddle of water in there so i got all the water out pulled out plugs and dried tho it still wont start it had no problems that i could notice. i just cant think of anything else it may be any advice??? also if possible the firing order for it its the 16v twin cam
