hi there this is my first time buying a car and also would be my first time trying my own project car

there a toyota ae93 sx on ebay for sale, which i really want. but whats holding me back is i dont know what engine top does it have, as i ask the seller he doesn't know himself
here is the link to it

can someone enlighten me? from what i can see just from the pictures he provided it seem to be a silver top 20 valves

please remember im new to all of this

im working full time so for me to go inspect it is not an option cause myself and the seller cant work out a time that best suit the both of us

LOL Silver top, just because it's Silver ;:signlol:

It's a 4A-GE TVIS twin cam 16 valve motor (big port I would believe) others may correct if I'm wrong

If you can get it for about $500, I'd say bid with all your might !

Edit: If you have a "top price" in mind that you want to bid with, open 2 screens on ebay with one having your pre-selected bid.

When it gets down to like 8 seconds (depending on your connectivity) stab CONFIRM BID on the 2nd screen.

Works for me !

The sx has advantages over the normal models such as rear disks instead of drum, c52 gearbox (I'm pretty sure) over c50, better interior trim. So yeah, 500 is good, and the big ports can be tuned to make a fair bit of power

are you guys stupid? thats obviously a 4a-gze medium port.

are you allowed forced induction mate? a lot of p-platers find out the hard way they aren't legally allowed to use the factory toyota nitrous.

ahhahaha god wtf has been happening here?

The engine is standard for the car it is in - smallport 4AGE which is rated at 100kW
ways to identify include the ribbed intake manifold (instead of smooth with TVIS badge), spark plug covers etc.

Quote

3s-fe, 4afte

Here's a pic of a 4A-FE in my 4WD AE-95R , those aren't even close ;) :signlol:

Mind you, the 95R motors did have a lil bit more get up n go than the Sedan/Hatch version motors

edit: The Wagons came with factory headers/extractors !!

rare because they are full JDM as fuck

they have the FE head which is custom ported by suzuki. it has narrow angle cams for maximum turbulence in the airflow, making the air/fuel mix better. if you get a whole halfcut, they use a 2L-TE surf turbo and BOV (one of the loudest factory BOV's), and have a full MOTEC systems exhaust from factory.

they were released in small numbers in the toyota ipsum.
