Thought the same thing for a AE82 4agze i just scored. I thought it would make it just a little more cramped then it already is, changing timing belts is already a bitch to get to, and replacing the water pump on my AE92 can be done just by taking the belts off and leaving the pulley on and pushing the alternator to the fire wall, but who cares bout that.
Does the car have any mods? If not all you want it for is to sound cool then i would suggest you spend your money on something that will actually benefit your performance.
If you do then you have to consider the above standard rpm's and what it will do to the water pump, alternator etc.
Gilmer drive wont slip which could be an advantage but then again letting your belts slip in circumstances could be a saviour.
Just my thoughts ive had on the idea
PS you can get them fabricated to size
