I have the smallport stock 4age in my sx and just had the AC fixed for the first time since I bought it. The only problem now is at idle the engine stalls when the compressor kicks in.

Not sure if this is related but I have thought for a while that advance from accelerating under load has been defective for a while but couldn't work out how to prove it? If it was an old vacuum system I would say there was a block in the vacuum hose but being computer controlled I don't know where to start looking. Maybe I should just admit it's slow? When I first noticed it seemed like performance went to shit and fuel consumption increased a bit.

Thanks

Hey mate reset your base timing to 10* btdc with e1 and te1 terminals bridged in the diagnosis block. id also be looking at the engine codes.

Where abouts in brissy are you?

Raise the idle speed? Fix the EFI's idle up system?

'advance', ignition timing advance? It does not advance when accelerating, it retards from the lower vacuum pressure when the throttle is opened up. It's at full advance during light & medium throttle opening when cruising.
