Hey guys, i currently have a BIGPORT 4AGZE (MAP sensored)that im rebuilding and setting up for a turbo. Below is a list of my mods:

*T28Ball bearing turbo
*FMIC with shortest possible piping
*2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust with brand new straight through muffler and brand new high flow cat.
*Turbo Manifold
*Oil and Water lines for turbo.
*Turbosmarts Kompact series BOV
*ARP Head Bolts
*ARP Race series bearings throughout
*EMS 4424 computer
*Aftermarket plenum chamber/Inlet manifold to replace GZE shitbox inlet.

I will be Shot peening the rods and strengthening the crank.

QUESTIONS:

*Should i use the standard gze pistons or should i get aftermarket items and if so which ones?
*Should i use the standard 1.2 compression head gasket or try and find something thicker?
*Do i need to upgrade the valve springs for the mild boost level?
*Is there anything i have left out that i should do or something i should look out for while doing this build?

The car will be a daily driver with a dual stage boost controller, i will be boosting to 9psi and 18psi. My concern is on 14psi i have seen broken gze pistons and it scared me to use them :(. I wont be running 18 psi all day every day, once a fortnight IF THAT!!! any help would be much appreciated.

LOL....
Boost doesn't break pistons. Shit tuning breaks pistons.
18PSI all day long on an unopened engine.
Guys have been doin this shit for the best part of 15 years now.

How how you come up with your boost levels? WHat is your target horse power? What is your budget?

i dont need to tell you my budget, i dont need to tell you my target hp and i dont need to tell you how i came up with my boost levels lollll??? i already have all the parts i need all i need to know is if i should change the pistons, what head gasket to use and if theres anything i should look out for or do while the motors apart! that is all i need to know, if u cant give me an answer please dont post. Power figures will be made after the motors run in and on a dyno so theres no point to talk about it now.

Then how do we answer your question?
If you provide the given information we could easily tell you what direction to head in and what parts I would/wouldn't.
The only reason my questions were asked was to help provide answers to the questions you have asked.
But because you're a smart cunt you can stick any advice up your arse.
You clearly love hemorrhaging cash and know better that anyoneone else so yeah, put aftermarket forgies, an MLS headgasket and TODA or HKS valve springs are all absolutely essential for a sub 200kw build.
Why did you ask the if you already knew the answers?
