Hey guys,

I have been floating around on here for years however I have never really posted any pics of my car or anything about it besides some troubles here and there.

About the car:
1987 Toyota Corolla II GP Turbo, 5sp manual with all lux options such as power everything velvor seats and interior lining, speakers in seats (bass engine like).
It had the 3ETE in it, which is a 1.5ltr SOHC 12v 4cyl EFI Turbo, however I replaced with a 4EFTE from a GT Starlet 1.3ltr 16v 4cyl EFI Turbo, and this is were my problems began.

When the engine was fitted I was lied to and told the electrics were done; however they haven't and I spent every last dollar on the conversion only to find out that it had some bad problems. It has taken about a year to find and get all the things needed to complete the conversion. I have the wiring loom and ecu now and I'm just waiting for them to be fitted.

A big thank you to Anthony Kellam (Toyota Shop) for helping me out and also to Stasi for sending me a spare 4e ECU. Plus all the boys & girls from Rolla-Club and Twincam16 who have helped me out.

Keep at it Tom, you'll get there eventually, all conversions take your time and money..

Thanks Justin, yeh lol I've taken the road less travelled and paid a costly price..... which I can't afford to pay... however I shall not say die and keep working on the car until I'm happy with it.

I've actually made the decision to not work in Southport anymore and move to Brisbane and catch public transport to work - This is well save a s##t load of money on fuel alone ($150 a fortnight) not to mention the wear on Maxi.

Some mods on Maxi:
2.25 exhaust of unknown brand
VDO boost gauge
Cold air intake (currently using the scoop however I have another setup in the gaurd)
Pod filter

Its not the best car in the world, hell its not even fast - but it's my car and I love it.

All Tercels/Corolla II/Corsa's were built at the Takaoka Plant in Toyota City*, Japan. My understanding is that only 6000 GP Turbo's were built. The chasis and body is based on the American tercel:
Posted Image <--- one which has seen better days.

Australia never saw any Tercels/Corolla II/Corsa's besides the 4WD Tercel which is completely different all together. This means that all Tercels/Corolla II/Corsa's you see on Australia's roads have been imported.

Tercel: The Latin word for one-third. Also a fast-flying member of the falcon family whose males are one-third the size of the females.*

Toyota Tercel Product History <--- American however relates to the models seen in Australia

I remember seeing on of those Corsas at the auction where I eventually bought my car. It wasn't all bad, my dad really liked it and wanted me to have it but I was afraid I wouldn't find parts for it. Can't remember what engine it was running.
Was a nice blue one which had similar front pop-up light to your. Good work on completing something different, it's so unusual here I almost thought you weren't from Australia :) please update your location...

Good stuff.

Yes it is FF, however I wish it was a AWD... who knows maybe one day it will be :)

My dream would be to drop a 3SGTE and the running gear from a GT4 into the Rolla II... work the 3sgte to have 300kw at the wheels .... it would make one hell of a tarmac rally car.

Heya 80OZT, I've been a phantom.... I've been actually come in very regulary and reading heaps of posts, but you know what they say: "if you have nothing good to say don't say it at all" (jokes).

Talasas: Do you know how much the blue one went for? you should of bought it and joined the select few :) least it would of been safe in a Twimcam16 owners hands. I bought mine after a lot of sleepless nights wondering if it would be the correct choice.... I initally wanted a AE86 Sprinter but I couldn't find one in a suitable condition, so I bought the GP with mods in mind, basically it has 4 wheel disc's and its factory Turbo so a lot of doors would be opened when it comes to modifying.
